I bring more than 30 years of experience as a birth, postpartum, and bereavement doula, grounded in trauma‑informed care, peer support, parent education, and grief work. My background allows me to support families with skill, emotional intelligence, and professionalism — always honoring autonomy and lived experience.
Beyond direct doula work, I’ve developed and presented workshops at state peer mental health conferences in Washington and Oregon, and partnered with state agencies and community organizations to provide grief‑informed education, consultation, and resource development. My leadership includes serving on the Madriella Advisory Board, helping shape doula training and community‑based birth support programs in California and Washington, and contributing to statewide committees focused on mental health and peer support. During the COVID‑19 pandemic, I created and supervised a 24/7 virtual peer support platform, ensuring continuous, accessible care during a time of crisis. Later, I led two peer teams for a multistate organization — one providing support inside the state hospital and one offering crisis‑focused community outreach. Across all my roles, I’m known for being transparent, authentic, and ethical — someone who thinks creatively to meet the needs of families and communities. I bring a calm, grounded presence, strong communication skills, and a deep commitment to non‑judgmental, person‑centered support.
Vision Statement
To make a difference in the world by supporting those I encounter with encouragement, education, and acceptance — supporting them as they walk their life's journey.
About My Work
For over 25 years, I’ve provided support to families through all stages of life. Drawing on lived experience and continued education, I created the classes “Walking With Grief” and “Authentically You.”
Walking With Grief opens honest conversations about loss and teaches how to support someone actively navigating grief.
Authentically You grew from my own journey of rediscovery after loss — guiding others to embrace who they are and find strength in authenticity.
I facilitate groups connected to these classes, helping participants explore identity, resilience, and healing. You will see a tab at the top named Groups & Workshops; this will have the most up-to-date offerings.
